Education Service Agency

Graham County School Superintendent’s Office Education Service Agency (ESA) / Professional Development

The Graham County School Superintendent’s Office offers a range of professional development opportunities through their Education Service Agency. Arizona Revised Statutes §15-301C, states “The office of county school superintendent is designated as a local education agency for the purpose of serving as an education service that is eligible to receive and spend local, state and federal monies to provide programs and services to school districts, charter schools, county free library districts and municipal libraries within that county.”

The Graham County School Superintendent’s ESA offers continuous, systemic high-quality professional development to teachers in Graham County on a year-round basis. Services range from early childhood best practices to adult learning based on K-12 subject matter and beyond. We also offer services to our county school administrators, which has led to rich collaboration and sharing of expertise.

We partner with numerous agencies such as Eastern Arizona College, Arizona State University, University of Arizona, Grand Canyon University, the Arizona Association of County School Superintendents, the United Way of Graham and Greenlee counties, the Arizona Community Foundation, Freeport-McMoRan, Inc., Bureau of Land Management, the Arizona Department of Education and many others to bring our communities together which enables us to offer the best professional development to our educators.
