Smoke Free Arizona

In November of 2006, the citizens of Arizona made their voice heard by passing the Smoke-Free Arizona Act (ARS 36 to 601.01), which prohibits smoking in most enclosed public places and places of employment.

How Is The Law Enforced?

The Health Department will investigate complaints. If a violation is found, the business owner will receive a warning notice. If there is a pattern of non-compliance, the state may impose fines.
