The Graham County STARS (Students Taking A Road To Success)
(Students Taking A Road to Success) is local and actively accepting new members. All high school ages are welcome and encouraged to join. Youth members have worked with the Parks and Recreations Committee and the City of Safford to host family movie nights as well as make the local parks smoke-free. They also partner with mental health to stop bullying and work towards making a difference in their schools and community. Youth have received awards for their participation in working with the Attorney General’s Office, and the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), and recognition for attending youth conferences to prepare them for life after high school. “Our goal is to make OUR community healthier and a better place to live.”
