COVID-19 UPDATE

Graham County Health Department Covid-19 update September 18, 2023

Graham County Health Department is reporting an increase of COVID-19 cases locally. This strain of COVID-19 is very contagious, but symptoms are generally mild and there has not been an increase in hospitalizations.

Free self-test kits will be offered at the Salsa Festival, Harvest Festival, and other local community events.  In addition, self-testing kits can be purchased at local pharmacies and retail stores.  Also, you may contact your primary care physician.

Current CDC guidelines recommend isolation for 5 days from onset of symptoms if you have a positive test.  It is also recommended to wear a mask when around others for an additional 5 days.

The updated monovalent COVID-19 vaccination will be available in early October 2023.

If you have questions, please contact Graham County Health Department at 928-428-0110.
